This box is typically ideal for storing up to six locomotives or coaches, or multiple full-height wagons, with a maximum stock height of 52 mm. The long, uninterrupted slots make it particularly well suited to larger OO gauge items that benefit from extra clearance and easy access.

The Box

Manufactured from durable clear plastic, the 10L Really Useful Box is both stackable and easy to handle, making it suitable for long-term storage as well as regular transport. Strong locking handles keep the contents secure, whether the box is stored at home or taken along to club nights and exhibitions.

The Inserts

Inside, the foam insert is arranged as a single-layer system with a removable centre section. The layout consists of a 10 mm base layer, a 53 mm central slotted storage layer, and a 10 mm top layer, providing a total slot height of 53 mm.

The closed-cell foam is firm enough to prevent movement during transit while remaining gentle on paintwork and fine detailing. This is the same durable foam we have used for more than 25 years with zero deterioration, ensuring reliable protection for your stock over the long term.
