Our 20 litre Purple box (TSOO21) is designed for storing and transporting your OO-gauge model railway stock. 

The Box

  • Made from durable plastic, the box is stackable which is ideal for long-term storage in a range of environments. 
  • Handles make the box less cumbersome and easy to transport - perfect for taking your stock to the railway club or to exhibitions. 
  • Also available in ‘White - Extra Strong’ - these boxes feature a reinforced design, making them especially suited to those who are often on the go with their railway stock.
  • (L) 710mm x (W) 440mm x (D) 120mm

The Inserts

  • 18mm top layer and 18mm base layer for extra protection.  
  • Dual middle layer (23mm and 30mm) makes it easier to remove particularly delicate models and provides overall enhanced access to the 10 slots (slot length 335mm). 
  • Dual layer inserts come with 10 slots, used by removing the foam slot inserts. These inserts come with pre-cut groves, making them easy to cut to ‘buffer’ your stock to stop it rolling in transit.

Transporting boxes for model rail stock

Excellent design for storage and transporting, with easy see through plastic and adjustable foam inserts suitable for all 00 gauge models, I like especially the plastic covers to cover the models which stops bits being knocked off and makes it easy to move them about.

Unfortunately one corner of one plastic cover was damaged somewhere suggesting care is still needed with these boxes.

V well constructed and fitted out. Larger by far than others I have with plenty of storage space and improved security for locos, coaches etc.

bought 3 to try them,they were so good i bought another 2,the foams are so easily removed,trains and coaches are so snug and very well protected excellent poduct thank you very much

The Rolls Royce of Model Railway Storage Boxes

I had been looking for a storage box for some unboxed rolling stock I had bought secondhand. An exhibitor at a local model rail exhibition suggested taking a look at trainspotters.com. I had 8x OO coaches I needed to find a box for and the 20 litre box really does the job. The foam inserts can be adjusted for different rolling stock. I’m very pleased with my purchase and will definitely buy more more in future should I require additional storage. Highly recommended.
