The Box

Dual middle layer (26mm and 26mm) makes it easier to remove particularly delicate models and provides overall enhanced access to the 2 = 6 = 8 slots (2 slots of 280mm long x 38mm wide x 52 (2x26)mm deep
and 6 slots of 335mm long x 38mm wide x 52 (2x26)mm deep). - Dual layer inserts come with 8 slots, used by removing the foam slot inserts.

Very pleased with the box. I think it is the ideal size. Can be quite heavy if carrying several locos. Anything larger could be unmanageable.
Excellent item. Best I've found for storing locomotives and rolling stock.
We find the 10 litre boxes are ideal for OO gauge loco and rolling stock storage, also for movement to and from displays, where the box size and shape makes them easier to stack and fit into a car boot than the larger size. The split foam design makes it easier to extract or replace locomotives, allowing fingers to properly grip safe bodywork regions, reducing the danger of damage to expensive locomotives.
Have been looking for something to store my code 3 model buses in for a while and was recommended these by a fellow bus modeller. It is a excellent fit for these and the split layer gives easy access
