The Darlington Model Railway Exhibition 2026 takes place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2026 at the Oakleaf Sports Complex in Newton Aycliffe. Organised by Darlington Model Railway Club, the two-day show brings together more than 20 layouts, specialist traders and railway modellers from across the region.

More than 20 layouts to explore
Following a popular exhibition at the same venue in 2025, Darlington Model Railway Club returns to Oakleaf Sports Complex with another varied line-up designed to appeal to enthusiasts across different scales, eras and modelling interests.
More than 20 layouts are expected alongside over a dozen traders, giving visitors plenty to see throughout the weekend. There will also be demonstrators on hand, making the exhibition a useful opportunity to pick up ideas, learn new techniques and talk to other people involved in the hobby.
A family-friendly railway exhibition
The show is designed to be accessible for enthusiasts and families alike, with accompanied children under 16 admitted free. The Oakleaf Sports Complex also offers refreshments, disabled access and free on-site parking.
